Newfield London Office Visit 2007

UK_041507 036

king pum I

i checked out the tower of london today - it was amazing.  one of the outside towers was built in 1280..... 1280?  that damn tower is about 5 HUNDRED years older than the U.S.... thats crazy.

here are some things that i learned today:

- william wallace aka mel gibson was held prisoner in this tower.  his execution included - being hung by the neck until nearly dead, then having him lie on his back cutting a cross on his chest, pulling out his inards and throwing it to a fire, chopping off his head, and finally cutting his body into quarter pieces.

- the english hate madonna

- the monach is not allowed to marry or be catholic

- the tower of london holds several crown jewels - the royal scepter of king edward has a diamond called the star of africa.  it is the biggest diamond in the world at 530 carats.

- european body odor aint no joke.

plenty of more but im going to take a nap - still not used to the time difference yet.  go rockets, go astros, go diamond kings

williamvo.net

 superandrew

havent had a chance to get willy this memory card so he can upload all his photos - so i bootleged a williamvo.net watermark on this tight picture.  that damn camera must have been clicking the entire time because you can make out every part of the dance. also - if you're wondering about the uh modern on youtube - i found it being linked from some odd site that the dancers have no affiliates with - the site wouldnt take it down even at our request.  so at the moment its marked as private.  i think i can make it available for friends, but i dont know how to "make friends" on youtube.  anyways - yeah someone tell me how the hell to do that.

CONGRATS G & NETTE

gilnette

today i ate lunch with junior - i realize that our conversations usually consist of:

- old school UH goodphil days and how things are different now

- talk about the future

here's some of our insight

on UH: we are both gradjuwats.  what an incredible tradition UH FSA has going.  the spirit and dance comps are still fun to watch and are still increasingly competitive.  youngsters should enjoy it as much as they can - some of my most memorable moments in life involve goodphil.  even a couple of years after my last one, i still catch myself saying "you know what they should do for goodphil...."    as far as the drama is concerned, its all a cycle.  it happens and passes.  when you get older, it doesnt even matter anymore.  so talk all the shit you want and if you cant back it up - dont take it to seriously ... its all good

about the future :  as far as newfield is concerned, it is US.  i think we both agree that the oil industry is the place to be as far as IT is concerned.  its a volatile, technologically advancing political nightmare.  i think the only thing that beats gaining industry experience here is the PTO and pay... haha hollah.  we will run this shit one day.  as far as personal futures ....  everything we have are blessings from God.  its nice to be able to relate on that perspective and talk about fams, friends, future....

anyway - j's going to the bahamas for his birthday.  i'll be in RV'ing in alaska for mine.

anc

this will be angelyne and i's roughneck nature expedition.  hope to capture some footage of us catching a fat ass halibut with the guide service.  i cant freakin wait.  ive always wanted to go to alaska.

fun stuff coming up:

-  superbowl (i want the bears to win, my gut tells me the SAINTS will do it somehow)

- chris' bday weekend

- Feb. 14th - (valentine's day / Newfield BONUS day)

- goodphil ofcourse

- buddhafoolz one last time at the goodphil party

- citrix bootcamp (geeky IT shit)

- london at the end of March (hopefully with friends)

- angelyne and i are doing the MS 150, please donate to our ride!

im sorry ive been struggling to add something to xanga.... this is all i could come up with.

have a good weekend homies.....
